Recovery Plan to be Published on Wednesday

Fianna Fail

Following the agreement of a financial rescue package last Sunday the Irish Government, led by Fianna fail, is set to proceed and publish its 4 year economic recovery plan on Wednesday. This is despite repeated calls for the Taoiseach to resign and call an immediate general election. However, Brian Cowan remains adamant that following Wednesday's publication a budget will still be put before the Dail on the 7th December.

The Taoiseach's proposed budget envisages savings of around 6bn euros with the s four-year plan identifying significant reforms to the tax system and significant cuts to social welfare spending.
